Several young men of the city intend leaving here for western fields of fortune in a few days. Those whose names have been mentioned are James McPEAKE, Harry JARVIS, John HARVY, Chas. BYRNE and William MATHESON. Mr. Matheson has, for the past four years, been employed in the watchmaking and jewelry store of C.A. McCAUSLAND. He intends spending a year in Boston and devoting himself to the German language and then going to Germany where he proposes to take a course in one of the horological schools.
