Inteligence has been received of the drowning at Melbourne, Australia of John GABRIEL, formerly of Halifax, N.S. Mr. Gabriel was one of a dozen Nova Scotians who left here for Australia several years ago. The accident which caused his death happened while he and three others were crossing a river in a boat. He was well known in this city where his mother and other rtelatives still live. - 'Halifax Herald'
