We regret to learn that a fatal accident occurred Wednesday morn. at the ship yard of Hon. Peter MITCHELL, Newcastle (North. Co.) by which John ARCHIBALD lost his life. It appears he was adjusting the belt attached to the knee borer. Through some misunderstanding the machinery was set in motion and Mr. A's head was caught and crushed between the lever and upper frame works, causing instant death; left widow, seven children.
