A shocking mutiny occurred on board the "Manitoba" of Yarmouth, N.S., Capt. DURKEE, Commander, which cleared from Cardiff on 8th April for New York with a cargo of iron. A short distance out, the crew refused to work and when the Capt. attempted to put some of the ringleaders in irons, the fell upon him and the mate McKUNRAN and beat them very severely. The crew were given into custody in the harbor of New York, when the vessel arrived after a perilous voyage, owing to the want of hands to navigate her. Their names are: William MONTIVELL, steward; John McDONALD, Jeremiah FITZPATRICK, Thomas SHEA; Thos. WELCH, Charles CARR, Robert WELCH, Thomas WOOD, Able Seamen.
