The 'Moniteur Acadien' records the death of Gabriel F. CORMIER, age 95 years 6 mos. which occurred at the residence of his son David CORMIER at Cocagne River (Kent Co.) Thursday 6th Sept. Deceased retained his consciousness up to the last moment. He leaves five children and a number of grandchildren. Deceased was born at Memramcook (West. Co.) 9th April, 1793. In 1818 he married Adelaide LANDRY by whom he had nine children, five of whom survive him. His wide died 12 years ago. In 1819 the deceased left his native parish to locate on the Cocagne river where he was one of the first settlers.
