Michael McCARTHY was walking along Charlotte St. Ext. (St. John) yesterday shortly before 7 o'clock when he noticed the body of a man floating in the water. He at once told the police and the body was taken out of the water and removed to the dead house and Coroner Earle was notified. The body was identified as the remains of William LACEY of Chelsea, Mass. who was on a visit to this city. Lacey was apparently 40 years of age and married. His father is living at Hibernia Settlement near Quaco. A letter dated July 26th Chelsea and signed Kate LACEY, evidently his wife, was found in his pocket.
