Murder of Suicide? New York 'Herald', 2nd - Mrs. Ida WADE, stewardess of ship "Canara" of St. John, N.B., was found dying in a stateroom with a bullet in her head at about half past 3 o'clock yesterday morn. The ship lay at the foot of Baltic Street, Brooklyn. The woman's husband, Harry WADE, raised the alarm and summoned the captain, telling him that his wife had shot herself. The wounded woman was taken to hospital, lingered until yesterday afternoon, and died without having recovered consciousness. The police appear to have accepted the theory of suicide. (see original)
