A social event transpired at Kingston, Ontario on Tuesday when Major Charles J. SHORT of B Battery, R.C.A. (Royal Canadian Artillery) was married to Miss CARRUTHERS d/o John CARRUTHERS of Kingston. The ceremony was performed by Rev. M.W. Mclean, cousin of the bride, at Annandale, residence of bride's father. The best man was Capt. SHEPHERD, A.D.C. to Lt. Gov. ROBITAILE of Quebec. Miss Maud CARRUTHERS and Miss GUNN attended the bride.
