Died at Wheaton Settlement, 11th inst., Elizabeth WHEATON widow of Thomas WHEATON and grand daughter od John LUTZ, deceased, one of the old settlers of the vicinity of Moncton, 83rd year, leaving nine children, 73 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Wheaton was born in the vicinity of Moncton Sept. 23, 1807 and on Nov. 15th, 1831 she was married to Thomas WHEATON. Shortly after Mr. and Mrs. Wheaton removed to North River settling in a log cabin in the woods where no we find a thriving settlement bearing his name. Some years later she experienced religion and about 35 years ago was baptized and united to the North River Free Baptist Church by Rev. G.A. Hartley. Both the parents of that family are now dead, but the children are all living, the eldest son being John A. WHEATON, railway contractor and builder. Funeral services were conducted 14th inst. by Rev. A.C. Thompson of Petitcodiac, assisted by Albin Perry, pastor of the church.
