We regret to learn the John GILLIS, merchant of (St. John)city was seriously injured in the spine by the upsetting of astage coach in turning the corner of the Province Bldg., Halifax N.S. He was on his way to England with a number ofother gentlemen from this city who were also in the coach.The driver had two of his ribs broken. He was unable to proceed in the steamer which sailed from Halifax on Saturdayfor Liverpool and on Tuesday morning was still in a very precarious state.
