The funeral of Hugh O'CONNOR took place from his residence, corner of Germain and Britian streets yesterday afternoon. The pall bearers were all members of branch 134: John L. CARLETON, Thomas GORMAN, Patrick TOLE, R.J. RITCHIE, Hugh DOHERTY and Edward FINIGAN. The remains were taken to the Church of St. John the Baptist where burial services were read by Very Rev. Monsignor Connolly. On leaving the church the procession proceeded up Carmarthen St. to Mecklenburg, along Mecklenburg to Sydney, up Sydney along Waterloo street and thence to the new Catholic cemetery. (see original)
