d. Wheaton Settlement (West. Co.) 5th inst., Thomas WHEATON, 81st year, left nine children, 62 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. The deceased experienced religion and was baptized by Rev. Ezekiel McLeod about 30 years ago and sustained his relationship to the F.C.B. Church up to his death. His faculties were remarkedly good for one so aged. His mind was clear and his eye sight so good that he could easily read without glasses. Thursday 6th inst., on the way from his house to the barn, he was stricken with paralysis, became unconscious and died in a few hours. His funeral on the 5th was largely attended and a sermon was delivered by Rev. A.C. Thompson.
