The Summerside, P.E.I. 'Farmer', 13th says; On Saturday night Nicholas WATSON, one of the drivers on the P.E.I. Railway, passed away to his eternal rest at his residence here at the early age of 40 years. He had been uill for some months previously and it was believed by his friends that he could not recover. He was born in St. John, N.B. where his people still reside and when about 17 years of age he came to the Island and was employed on the railway. By his industry and correct habits he quickly rose to the position of locomotive engineer. He was in the employ for 22 years. He was a member of the Christian Baptist Church. On Tuesdsay afternoon the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery here, Rev. Donald Crawford and Rev. Robinson conducting the funeral services.
