Moncton 'Transcript' - On Saturday 8th inst 5 p.m., John WELDON, one of the oldest residents of Dorchester (West. Co.) died in his 78th year. He contracted a cold which soon developed into inflammation of the lungs. He was one of the early adherents to the temperance cause. He was an honorary member of the lodge of Free Masons in Dorchester and a member of the Methodist church. He was married twice and leaves a widow and step-daughter, two sons and three daughters. His eldest son is a successful miner in Arizona and his second son fills a responsible position in a bank in Los Angeles, California. His eldest daughter is the wife of Dr. MOORE of Sackville and the other two daughters are conducting a ladies seminary in San Francisco.
