In the death of Capt. Benjamin WELLS, who died at his residence Point de Bute (West. Co.) on 9th inst., Westmorland loses one of its oldest citizens. He was born in 1798 and was the eldest s/o William WELLS and Catherine WELLS. Three sisters survive him: Mrs. Richard CHAPMAN, Amherst, N.S.; Mrs. Joseph DOHERTY, Campbellton (Rest. Co.); and Mrs. Alfred JONES, Point de Bute.
