A Fatal Fire - Between 8 and 9 o'clock last night a fire broke out in the third flat of a Water street building (St. John) The building belonged to the estate of the late E. STEPHENS and was occupied by Adam YOUNG as a foundry wareroom and work shop. When the fire broke out it was known that there were in the fourth flat, Jacob BROWN, foreman of the workshop; Andrew COYLE, aged about 45 who has a wife and family living on Leinster St. (St. John) Patrick CUNNINGHAM, a middle aged man belonging to Lower Cove; Mr. KELLEY of Carleton; Geo. DAMERY, aged about 24 years of Richmond St. and Adam YOUNG, son of the proprietor. In the third flat, Daniel O'BRIEN, aged about 18 year of North St. and Richard NUGENT, age 17, of Leinster St. were working.
