Robert ROGERS, whose death recently occurred at Owl's Head, Me., was a son of one of the first settlers of Shepody and was born in Hopewell in 1811. He went to Rockland in 1852. He was married 63 years ago to Miss Alice MARSHALL of Hopwell who survives him. He leaves two children: Mrs. Lucy AREY, Owl's Head and Capt. Calvin ROGERS of Rockland. Mr. Rogers was one of a family of seven brothers, but two of whom survive - Elisha S. ROGERS, Rockland and Newton ROGERS, Hopewell Hill (Albert Co.)
