On Friday morn. 6th inst., while Wm C. TRITES, Esq. of Coverdale (Albert Co.), his nephew, and Robert COLPITTS were kneeling on a pole which lay along the face of a mill dam owned by the first named and others, for the purpose of obtaining a good view of the structure underneath, the pole broke and all three were thrown a distance of 15 feet on the stumps and other projections that lay below. Mr. TRITES died Sunday last from the effects of the fall.
