The 'St. Andrews Standard' in noticing the death of Samuel C. BUGBEE at Oakland, California on 18th inst. says: In early life Mr. Bugbee served as an apprentice with Reuben STEVENSON, an accomplished house builder, whose daughter he afterwards married. Mr. B. displayed talents for aarchitecture which he cultivated and after leaving here for Boston became one of the principal architects in that city. His services were engaged to plan and build the old Centenary (Methodist) Church at St. John as well as other churches in the Province. About 18 years ago he removed to California and resided in San Francisco where he designed and superintended in company with his son Charles BUGBEE, many of the best buildings, notably the Stanford palace and the private residence of Charles CROCKER, Esq. and others.
