On Friday 15th inst., Frederick COOK, a fisherman belongingto Campobello (Charlotte Co.) while out on a fishing cruiseamong the islands, his son was shot through the breast causing instant death by the incautious handling of his fowling piece. The hammer of the gun was drawn on the cap, when he laid hold of the muzzle to pull the piece towards him and coming in contact with the thwart of the boat it went off.
