Death removed from our midst on Sabbath 9th inst., Henry CRAIG, age 78 years 7 mos. He came from Millfield, Northumberland, England to Harvey (York Co.) with the first settlers in the year 1837. What is now a thickly settled and prosperous community was then a forest. His energy did much to change the wilderness into a fruitful field. He was active to the very last. Always tenderaly attached to the Presbyterian church, the church of his fathers, and seldom absent from the sanctuary on the Sabbath or the weekly prayer meeting. His father had been an elder for 53 years. His death leaves a blank in the church, the community and the home that will not readily be filled. He leaves two sons, three brothers and many relatives to mourn their loss.
