Stellarton, N.S. Nov. 12 - A heavy explosion occurred in the Foord Pit of the Halifax Coal Mining Company. The following are the names of the missing men of whom there is no hope of recovering alive: James MITCHELL, overman; Angus McKAY, shot firer; James LEMON, John CARR, Edward SAVAGE, Thomas ROGERS, John MORRISON, William MURDOCK, Edward ROBERTS, Sr., Edward ROBERTS, jr., John ROBERTS, Thomas McKAY, John CUMMINGS, Daniel CUMMINGS, Job SKINNER, Wm LEVERS, Daniel SUTHERLAND, John McLAUGHLIN, John McNAUGHTON, Robert McLEOD, Roory McKINNON, John CRAWFORD, Charles DUNBAR, Joseph NAIRN, Thomas SULLIVAN, John JOHNSTONE, Murdock McDONALD, Hy. HADDEN, Wm ROSS, John McINNES, Peter McINNES, Thomas McKAY, Hector McLEAN. Others are in the pit but their names cannot be ascertained yet. The following are injured so badly that very little hopes are entertained of their recovery: Matthew McPHERSON, William DUNBAR, Sr., George BARDEN, W. McCLIZE, Reuben DUNBAR, Angus CAMPBELL.
