Great Shemogue (West. Co.) Sept. 30 - A gloom has been cast over the community by the sudden death of Adam C. COPP at St. John, He started for St. John, accompanied by his son Frank COPP, 19th inst. He had not been feeling well for some time before he left, but it was thought to be nothing serious. The next day after he arrived in St. John he took bad and on the 24th had a violent heamorrhage of the bowels. He lingered until the morn. of the 29th. The body was brought home today. Deceased was one of a family of eight, four girls and four noys, of which only four are now living viz. Henry COPP and Hazen COPP of port Elgin. Miss Celia COPP of this place and Mrs. Joseph DAVIS of Davis Road. Mr. Copp leaves a wife and young son. He was 56 years of age. Miss Celia Copp, who has been at St. John waiting on her brother, came to Shediac on 30th ult., but owing to the terrible storm and her own ill health was unable to attend the funeral.
