A splendid gold watch with chain, seal and key was presented to John F. JAMES for many years a surveyor in the steam saw mill of Z. ADAMS, Esq. of Carleton (St. John) by the operatives in the mill numbering over 100 on Wednesday, on the eve of his departure for Richmond, Virginia. The presentation was made by R.C. ADAMS. Mr. JAMES left for Richmond Thursday last.
