On Sunday there reached the city by telephone the sad news that Maud LAWSON eldest d/o John LAWSON, had dropped dead at Freetown. About three years ago she left her home in this city to visit some friends who reside at that place. Ever since then she has enjoyed excellent health and the news of her sad affair has given a great shock to the community. The deceased was 24 years of age and was a sister of Frank LAWSON who a few years ago taught school in Lower Freetown and who now resides in Chelsea. She leaves a father, mother, two brothers and six sisters. - P.E.I. 'Guardian'.
