Northesk (North. Co.) March 30 - The funeral of the late Edward WHITNEY, who died at Montreal, took here Tuesday 28th. The pall bearers were Samuel MUTCH, Geo. JARDINE, William CURTIS, David DUNNET, James DUNNETT and James SHERARD. The services were conducted by Rev. Blakney. Deceased was 69 years of age. He leaves a wife and six sons, two of whom are in the U.S. and a daughter, Mrs. James MULLIN. His son Robert WHITNEY arrived from the west the day before his father's burial.
