Isaac VINCENT died suddenly at Mr. STERRITT's house at Elmsdale on the St. John River, Wednesday morn. Mr. Vincent, who was a native of Cole's Island (Queens Co.) was about 55 years of age and an agent for fruit trees. He stopped at Sterritt's overnight Tuesday and at night was taken ill. He awakened Mr. Sterritt who gave him every attention possible, providing amongst other medicines a beverage of calamus tea which Vincent asked for. About 5 o'clock in the morn. he said he did not require further assistance so the people of the house retired. Less than an hour later Mr. Sterritt returned and found that the sick man had died. Dr. Gilchrist, coroner, did not consider an inquest necessary.
