The death of Charles McLAUCHLAN, sr. occurred about noon Saturday. The deceased was a native of Wigtonshire, Scotland and came to New Brunswick when quite a lad. His family first settled in the neighborhood of Musquash and afterwards removed to St. John. Mr. McLauchlan early associated himself in the shipping business and for a period owned largely in vessels. The deceased left a family of three sons and four daughters. One daughter is married to Howard D. TROOP; another to George R. SMITH, Yarmouth, N.S.; a third to Charles WATTERS, Nebraska city and a fourth to Dr. BEVERIDGE of Appleton, Wisconsin
