Capt. Stevens of barque "John Black" writes from Glasgow, that he encountered a heavy gale from 11th to 12th Sept. when they lost a part of their deckload. One of the seaman, Albert WARD of Port Elgin (West. Co.) N.B. was washed overboard and lost. He was a single man.
