Community-University Research Alliances

The project “Re-Connecting with the History of Labour in New Brunswick: Historical Perspectives on Contemporary Issues” is a Community-University Research Alliance (CURA) funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). The program supports research projects jointly developed and undertaken by universities and community organizations. Academic and community partners work together for social, cultural and economic development by sharing knowledge, resources and expertise and contributing to the goals of knowledge mobilization and dissemination.

SSHRC is an independent federal government agency that funds university-based research and graduate training in the social sciences and humanities through national peer-reviewed competitions.
