Welcome

This project is no longer active, but the website resources we developed remain available thanks to the cooperation of the Associates of the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick. Research files and interviews completed by the project are available at the PANB in MC3477. For a brief description, see Silhouettes (Spring 2012), pp. 6-7. For the interviews conducted in French, contact staff at the Centre d'études acadiennes Anselme-Chiasson at the Université de Moncton.

The original website was developed by Nelson Ouellet, and the project logo was designed by Jocelyne Doiron.

Please note that some of the external links on the original site have expired and are no longer functioning.

Re-Connecting with the History of Labour in New Brunswick:
Historical Perspectives on Contemporary Issues

We are a Community-University Research Alliance that focuses on the need for an informed public memory related to the history of work in the Province of New Brunswick. The project involves researchers at the two provincial universities, the University of New Brunswick and the Université de Moncton, working in partnership with the province's union organizations and heritage institutions. Our goal is to make the history of work and labour in New Brunswick over the past century more accessible to the academic community and the general public.
